- Revilers – “Stand Or Fall” 7” & “Isolation” 7”(Patac Records) – Man do I have to apoligize to this guys and their label. I’ve had these records forever and they have waited patiently for their review. The 7” they sent got mixed in with my collection. Ok anyway back to their music. Lately I’ve been really wanting to hear good old fashion pissed off true ti heart punk rock. Well I think I finally got what I was asking for, good old fashioned east coast punk rock. It’s the kind of punk rock that gets your heart pumping, the adrenalin flowing , and the pit exploding. I would say that these guys are a similar style to one of my favorite east coast punk bands, Token Entry. They’re more than just balls to the walls high speed music, they are 100 mph punk rock with a flare of style, solid vocals, and great lead guitar action. There isn’t one song that I didn’t like from either album and can’t wait to get a hold of a new full length. The only complaint I have about both of these records is the low level audio. I would really love to turn the volume up full blast and smash some shit up. Don’t sleep on these records like did, your’ll kick yourself for dicking around. – January 5, 2010 by: Jonny Taint
- Revilers – Isolation, 7” 2009 Patac Records
Revilers are a Boston based raw punk band, who has released its debut 7” on Patac Records. The 7” offers four songs: Isolation, Next In Line, Dead End and on the outside. Where Side A goes a more straight forward path, Side B offers more melody and sing along punk songs. The vibe coming from this 7” is a bit comparable to the vibe that comes from the Blood For Blood records. Not that the music is alike but the lyrics have the same kind of rawness, a bit nihilistic and pissed off but also a message of not giving up. Songs about relying only on yourself, being isolated and living as outcasts of society but also about not giving in and fighting back.
